Job Summary:
- Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Prepare and manage schedules, resources, and budgets to achieve construction goals.
- Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors, interfacing with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Maintain quality control and ensure construction is carried out according to design specifications.
- Resolve any issues that may arise due to emergencies, weather delays, or other pressures effectively.
- Ensure the site is compliant with safety standards and oversee the execution of work, including quality and production, ensuring that all work meets Blackbriar's standards for safety, quality, and organization.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, such as heating, electrical, air conditioning, and ventilation to ensure optimal operational levels.
- Communicate project progress to all stakeholders, including regular updates and potential changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in high-end residential construction, with a portfolio of completed luxury projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to quality and aesthetics.
- Physical ability to regularly walk sites in uneven terrain and ability to climb ladders for inspection of construction progress.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed to multiple project sites.
